Cape Town City have rejected a R15 million offer from Polish Ekstraklasa outfit Górnik Zabrze for kid sensation Emile Witbooi.

Witbooi has been in the news all around the country, with teams reportedly interested in signing him, but nothing has materialised.

South African league champions Orlando Pirates only enquired about Witbooi but never made an offer.

In exclusive news, iDiski Times has it in good authority that City recently turned down a €800k (R15, 000 000) offer from Zabrze who are owned by German legend Lukas Podolski.

City remain firm on their asking price of €1m (R18M – R20M) and remains to be seen if the Polish side will come back with an improved offer.

Witbooi recently won the Motsepe Foundation Championship Players’ Player of the Season award following a magnificent season he had which led to City finishing in the promotion playoffs.

The 17-year-old is preparing for the upcoming season with the Mother City-based side.
