Leopards Secure New Signing

Motsepe Foundation Championship side Black Leopards have completed the signing of former Polokwane City midfielder Boysen Mbatha.

Mbatha recently parted ways with Pretoria Callies after spending a year with side.

The 29-year-old arrived at Callies back in January 2023 and helped the Tshwane-based side survive relegation.

After showing his class and leadership he was named the club captain when the current season started back in August under the leadership of Kwanele Kopo.

Shockingly in December, he was part of six players who mutually agreed to part ways with Callies after the arrival of new head coach Bushy Moloi.

iDiski Times understands that Mbatha has signed a short-term contract with Leopards as he was allowed to join the team of his choice since he left within the January transfer window.

Lidoda Duvha are currently sitting eighth in the Motsepe Foundation Championship standings with 29 points after 21 games. They are 10 points behind table-toppers Magesi FC.

Mbatha could make his debut in the upcoming derby against Venda Football Club.
