Motsepe Foundation Championship side AmaTuks have released 21 players, including former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Veli Mothwa.
Mothwa, 35, joined the University of Pretoria after he had been a free agent following his release from AmaZulu at the end of June 2025.
However, the former Bafana keeper only made eight appearances under Kwanele Kopo and was now part of the players released on Wednesday.
Kopo himself has been replaced by former Mamelodi Sundowns set-piece coach Loftman Joins PSL Club after AmaTuks only finished in 11th place last campaign.
With the club attempting a major revamp, the departures of assistant coach Machete Moloto and goalkeeper coach Thomas Nare were announced on Monday, with this publication reporting that former Chippa United defender Msekeli Mvalo has been roped into their technical team.
Just two days later, AmaTukes bid farewell to 21 of their players, with Mothwa and Prince Nxumalo among the biggest names of the list.
