As first reported by SABC Sport, it has been confirmed to iDiski Times that the club has decided to halt further court proceedings.
This effectively places their final hopes of avoiding relegation in the hands of the arbitration process. A ruling from that hearing is expected in the coming days, and could either confirm their demotion or offer a last-minute lifeline.
Spurs ended the 2024/25 campaign in 15th place in the Motsepe Foundation Championship — a position that, under current rules, condemns them to relegation to the ABC Motsepe League, the regionalised third tier of South African football. It would mark a dramatic fall from grace for one of the country’s most storied clubs.
