The Premier Soccer League have announced that the draw for the MTN8 semi-finals will take place on Sunday.
Two MTN8 quarter-finals were played already, with Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC advancing.
The defending champions needed extra-time to beat SuperSport United 3-1, while Stellies celebrated their ninth win in 12 clashes with TS Galaxy.
This weekend, Sekhukhune United host Cape Town City on Saturday, before the clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Polokwane City takes place on Sunday.
On Thursday, the PSL confirmed the draw for the semi-finals will take place right after the final quarter-final match.
“The MTN8 semi-final draw will take place this Sunday afternoon, right after the MTN8 quarter-final clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Polokwane City at Lucas Moripe Stadium. The draw will be LIVE on SuperSport PSL channel (202) and SABC 1,” read a statement.
Draw Procedure:
• One bowl will be used for the draw – containing four balls (with the names of each semi-finalist).
• The first ball out will be the home team in the first fixture.
• The second ball will be the away team in the first fixture.
• The third ball out will be the home team in the second fixture.
• The fourth ball will be the away team in the second fixture.
The semi-finals will be played over two legs on a home and away basis, with the weekends of 24 and 31 August earmarked for those fixtures.
