Marumo Gallants head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has maintained his ambition to pull off another upset in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals against defending champions Orlando Pirates.
The Bloemfontein-based outfit will once again renew their ‘rivalry’ in what many deems as David vs Goliath. The two sides have already faced off against one another in the league in Ouaddou’s first game in charge where Bahlabane Ba Ntwa shocked Pirates with a 2-0 victory.

Speaking to iDiski Times writer Lethabo Kganyago in edition 196 of the newspaper, Ouaddou said that though he still has to plan for the said game, his charges will play with determination.
“Yes, the win that we had a few days ago, it helped us in terms of confidence, of course. It gives us more tiredness, yes, but in terms of confidence, I think it’s important,” Ouaddou told iDiski Times.
“And yeah, we are going to play against a very big club, not only in South Africa but in Africa, in the continent. We know that they have talented players, but I think the game is still far. We will have time to think about it, but what I am sure of is that we are going to play that game with a lot of ambition.”
