Kaizer Chiefs secured their place in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Chippa United at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
In an end to end game, which typified this round of the competition, Chiefs raced out the blocks quick with Gaston Sirino finding the net with a deft touch.
After Reeve Frosler played a one-two with Thabo Cele, he whipped in a low first time cross for the Uruguayan to prod into the top corner beyond Stanley Nwabali.
Chiefs looked a confident side throughout the rest of the half, which translated into the second with Bruce Bvuma not having much to do in terms of saves.
However, Nwabali on the other end of the pitch was tested, and 15 minutes from time, conceded a penalty after some chaos inside the area.
Inacio Miguel stepped up to double the lead and Chiefs went on to see out the game comfortably at the Calabash.
Chiefs even added a third when Pule Mmodi was the quickest to react after Nwabali saved an initial shot by Ranga Chivaviro.
They join SuperSport United, Stellenbosch, Durban City, Marumo Gallants and Orlando Pirates in the next round of the competition.
