Barker Pleased With Phili’s Growth

Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker has been left impressed with young Langelihle Phili’s growth and hopes this will be his breakthrough season. Phili has been a promising prospect in the colours of Stellies since joining from AmaZulu with the dribbling wizard helping them win the DStv Diski Challenge before he was promoted to the senior team side. The 20-year-old played some minutes last season in the senior side and finished the season with one goal and one assist.  Things seem to have been coming quite alright for Phili as he already scored two goals in two matches this season.

The PSL has released opening weekend fixtures for the 2025/26 Motsepe Foundation Championship set to get underway this coming weekend. Newcomers Gomora United take on Leicesterford City, formerly JDR Stars, on Friday, 22 August at 15:00 while Highbury FC go head-to-head against the University of Pretoria at the same time. Maduka On The Return Of Sibanyoni

Magesi FC head coach John Maduka has broken his silence into the return of striker Thabang Sibanyoni.
