Al Ittihad Coach Blanks Presser After Losing To Pitso

Al Ittihad head coach Marcello Gallardo refused to honour the press conference after their 3-1 defeat to Pitso Mosimane’s Abha Club on Friday evening.

The highly-regarded Argentine coach who is widely considered one of the finest tacticians in world football was on the receiving end of major criticism over his run at the club.

According to reports in Saudi Arabia, he refuses to entertain talking about the matches in post-match press conferences and moves directly into questioning from the media but is now likely to find himself in hot water with the league.

Mosimane, after the game revelled in the massive victory that gives them real hope of retaining their status in the Saudi Pro League after beating the 2022/23 league champions.

“We played well and showed seriousness and fight from the first moment to the last. This is what we lacked in the previous games,” Mosimane said, as per Aswat.

“I do not have star [players], and we work according to the tactical plans that we have, and we believe in the spirit of one team, and we showed that today, and we hope to continue with positive results and stay in the league.”

Abha have four games remaining and are in the relegation zone via goal difference at present.
