Former Mamelodi Sundowns Conditioning Coach Riedoh Berdien has joined Fadlu Davids’ technical team at Simba SC.
Davids, 43, was unveiled as new Simba head coach on Friday, as reported by iDiski Times.
The former Orlando Pirates co-head coach had a fairytale season with Raja Club Athletic in Josef Zinnbauer’s technical team, helping the Moroccan giants to an unbeaten double.
But while Zinnbauer has been linked with a move Saudi Arabia, Davids opted to become a head coach himself again and take on a lucrative offer at Simba.
And the former Maritzburg United coach assembled a South African technical team, bringing along Darian Wilken as his assistant, Mueez Kajee as analyst and former Bucs shot stopper Wayne Sandilands as Goalkeeper Coach.
In addition, Berdien was also unveiled as the club’s new Fitness Coach.
Berdien, who left Sundowns in 2023, has vast experience with national teams, having previously worked with Banyana Banyana, Togo, The Gambia, Trinidad and Tobago and recently joined former mentor Tom Saintfiet at the Philippines.
