Ngezana – What Facing Man Utd Means To Me

FCSB defender Siyabonga Ngezana says he has not stopped thinking about his side’s upcoming Europa League match against Manchester United since the draw was made.

The Romanian side face the Red Devils on 30 January 2025 in their backyard in the revamped format of the tournament with United currently ranked seventh in the 36-team format with 12 points while FCSB is 10th with 11 points from six outings.

The South African international told iDiski Times senior writer Lorenz Köhler in edition 186 of the newspaper that the day cannot come too soon as facing one of his favourite clubs is a dream come true.

“Actually, I’ve been thinking about this since the draw, since we’ve been in the same group with Manchester United,” Ngezana told iDiski Times.

“For me, it’s a dream come true, playing against the team that I support. Manchester, if you can see like it’s rich in history, and just playing against them, I feel like for me, it’s a dream come true, because it’s a team that I grew up supporting in the EPL.

“So, I mean, I felt like everything, it’s coming together right now at this moment. And I can’t wait! I can’t wait, because every training session, every training session, every chance that I get it, every workout that I do, I always think about Manchester.

“It’s kind of like I can say it’s a motivation itself; it’s a motivation itself. And I hope to play that game because right now I’m getting some injuries that I don’t understand, but I hope I will play that game. I hope to play that game.”
