Official: Wydad Confirm Three More Signings For Rulani

Rulani Mokwena’s new side Wydad Athletic Club have announced three more signings on Saturday, including a former Ligue 1 midfielder.

While Mokwena remains linked with a reunion with Bongani Zungu and is understood to be chasing Young Africans SC superstar Stephane Aziz Ki, as reported in this week’s iDiski Times digi-paper, edition 164, Wydad have now already added eight new faces to his squad.

On Saturday, they unveiled three new names, headlined by attacking midfielder Hamza Sakhi, who joined the club from French side AJ Auxerre.

Sakhi, 28, scored 20 goals and set up 25 more in 181 games for the French side, which got relegated to Ligue 2 in 2022/23. He has also featured for Metz, Ajaccio, Sochaux and Melbourne City, among others.

Wydad also added two more defenders, the first being Nabil Marmouk from Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta. Marmouk, 26, spent one season with Anorthosis, making 28 appearances overall.

The third new signing of the day, Ayman Dairani joined Wydad form Union Touarga Sportif and was also unveiled on Saturday.

The 28-year-old centre-back has vast experience in the Botola Pro and also lifted the Throne Cup in 2018/19 with Tihad Athlétique Sport de Casablanca.
