FCSB President Gigi Becali says it would be unfair to comment on Siyabonga Ngezana’s debut as he entered the field after a red card.
Ngezana played in the final 15 minutes of their 2-1 defeat to UTA Arad, replacing the injured Vlad Chiricheș – who could be ruled out for ‘three to four months’.
While the South African defender, who was lured to the club in a 600,000 euro move from Kaizer Chiefs had a decent cameo, the club boss says he needs a full game in better circumstances before they comment on his abilities.
“We didn’t have time to see him. What [is there] to see? You can’t see a player when you play [with] 10 men,” Becali told Digi Sport.
“You have to watch him when the team is complete, to see him in combinations, you can’t play against [referee] Istvan Kovacs.”
Ngezana will be aiming to make his full debut against second-placed Universitatea Craiova who are their early title challenges this season.
