Pitso’s Abha Leave Relegation Spots After Win Over Former EPL Coach

Pitso Mosimane’s Abha Football Club have left the relegation spot after an important win over former Premier League coach Slaven Bilic.

Just days after suffering the heaviest defeat of his coaching career to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr, Mosimane and his side returned to winning ways.

Thanks to a brace by former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, Abha beat Al-Fateh 2-1.

Krychowiak opened the scoring in the sixth minute and Abha carried their slender lead into the break. But Cristian Tello equalised in the 54th minute for the side of former West Ham United coach Bilic.

However, Mosimane’s struck back just three minutes when Krychowiak completed his brace.

The win over seventh-ranked Al-Fateh saw Abha climb in 15th-place above the relegation zone. They now have 25 points from 27 games and sit one spot above the relegation spots.

Under Mosimane, they have collected 11 of their 25 points in just eight games.
