Ramovic On Mayo Attitude, Provides Injury Update

CR Belouizdad head coach Sead Ramovic says Khanyisa Mayo has a bright future ahead of him and waved concerns of a serious injury.

Mayo, 26, scored the opening goal for CRB in Ramovic’s league debut as they beat USM Khenchela 3-0 to move to the top of the Algerian Ligue 1 table.

But there were some concerns for the South African as he was forced off the pitch with an ankle injury before half-time.

“He’s a fantastic player with so much quality. Technically very good, skilful, and always looking to improve,” Ramovic tells iDiski Times.

“What stands out the most is his attitude — he wants to work hard, stays humble, and is always willing to learn.

“He plays with intelligence and composure, making often the right decisions at the right moments. With that mindset and ability, he has a bright future ahead…

“About his injury, he twisted his ankle, so hopefully not longer than two weeks.”

Mayo has scored five goals in 23 games since joining the Algerian giants from Cape Town City in the off-season.
