Mofokeng scored his third goal for Royal Union Saint-Gilloise as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over Lommel SK in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. In the same division, Shandre Campbell featured for 45 minutes as Kortrijk suffered a 3-0 defeat to RAAL La Louvière.
Makgalwa got on the scoresheet as Simba secured a commanding 6-1 victory over Mighty Wanderers in the second leg of the CAF Champions League first preliminary round. The result saw Steve Barker’s side progress to the next stage.
Elsewhere in the Champions League, Rulani Mokwena’s Pyramids advanced after a 7-1 aggregate triumph over Gor Mahia, while Manqoba Mngqithi’s Simba SC also booked their place in the next round with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Gaborone United.
Tshegofatso Mabasa and Devin Titus’ Maghreb Fez progressed as well after beating Rahimo 4-1 on aggregate.
In Austria, Ried midfielder Yusuf Maart provided an assist in their 1-1 draw against RB Salzburg, while fellow South African Jaedin Rhodes featured for 17 minutes.
In the Ghanaian Premier League, Eric Tinkler masterminded Asante Kotoko to their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Heart of Lions.
In Germany, Ime Okon played 15 minutes for Hannover 96 in their 2-1 defeat to Nurnberg.
In Portugal, Bafana Bafana midfielder Yaya Sithole played 15 minutes as Tondela defeated Portimonense 2-0.
In Denmark, Thapelo Maseko played 66 minutes for Copenhagen in their 2-0 win over Horsens.
In Cyprus, Mihlali Mayambela played 67 minutes as Omonia drew 0-0 with Apollon, while Luther Singh completed the full match for AEL Limassol in their 2-1 victory over Nea Salamis.
In Scotland, Olwethu Makhanya played the full 90 minutes as Rangers claimed a 3-0 victory over arch-rivals Celtic in the Scottish League Cup.
