AmaZulu are in advanced talks with experienced defender Kwanda Mngonyama as they look to bolster their defensive options.
With the club finishing 11th in the DStv Premiership last season, head coach Pablo Franco Martin will be aiming for a strong start in his second season.
With the likes of Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Mbongeni Gumede receiving new deals, Mngonyama has been identified as a prime target to add to the squad.
The towering defender who was on the books of Moroka Swallows last season before this month’s status sale to Marumo Gallants, holds extensive top-flight experience.

He was spotted at the club’s headquarters on this week ahead an expected move to Usuthu for the 2024/25 season.
Thembela Sikhakhane looks set to depart the club, while there are also question marks around the future of Abbubaker Mobara going into the new campaign.
