Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed their fifth signing of the transfer window, securing winger Faiz Abrahams from Stellembosch for the 2026/27 season.
The 21-year-old winger, who was part of the U20 South Africa national team that won the Africa Cup of Nations joins on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
It marks another major step in the career of the iKamva Academy product, having started his professional career at Cape Town Spurs, before his move to Stellembosch, whilst also having a stint in Isreal last season on loan.
Abrahams has strongly been linked with a move to Durban City but failed to agree personal terms, while a switch to Orlando Pirates was also mooted before the prospective swap deal fell through.
It initial included Abrahams and goalkeeper Dion Boom, with Kabelo Dlamini possibly going into the opposite direction.
However, the move to Chiefs signals intent from Amakhosi, with another promising attacking talent for the disposal of new head coach Fernando da Cruz.
Abrahams follow Langelihle Phili and Thabo Moloisane from the Cape Winelands to Naturena in this current window and while Relando Leaner and Adolf Bitegeko were aquired from Sekhukhune United and Azam respectively.
