Chiefs Part Ways With Another Player

Kaizer Chiefs have reached an agreement to terminate the contract of midfielder Cole Alexander by mutual consent, iDiski Times has learnt.

The 33-year-old joined the club in July 2021 with then-head coach Stuart Baxter after their stints in India with Odisha.

He featured 21 times in his first season but after the exit of Baxter, and added injuries, he was limited to just seven games last campaign.

With Chiefs looking to add new blood into the first team under new head coach Molefi Ntseki, and with Edson Castillo set to join the club next month, they’ve decided to part ways with the South Africa international.

iDiski Times understands that Alexander agreed to the offered settlement and signed it off officially this week, as he now leaves Amakhosi as a free agent.

The Ajax Cape Town Academy product has racked up 265 appearances in the South African top flight since making his professional debut back in 2008.
