The former Newcastle United U23 defender had a good season with Arrows, despite Abafana Bes’thende finishing outside the top eight.
The 23-year-old made 24 appearances in all competitions, and he also caught the attention of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, who picked him for his squad that participated in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November against Rwanda and Benin.
iDiski Times understands that Chiefs reached an agreement with Arrows for Cross for an undisclosed fee. The left-footer has already left Arrows and is expected to do his medicals and complete personal terms imminently.
Cross is set to become Chiefs’ sixth signing after Bongani Sam, who picked up an injury in pre-season, Fiacre Ntwari, Rushwin Dortley, Gaston Sirino, and Angolan defender Inacio Miguel.
