Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Keagan Dolly looks set to explore options outside South Africa despite the recent talks with SuperSport United.
Dolly, 31, was approached by Gavin Hunt’s side swiftly after his contract with Kaizer Chiefs expired amid reported interest from Cape Town City and AmaZulu, and with the player passing his medical it appeared the move was imminent.
However, iDiski Times have been led to believe that the two parties have decided not to proceed with the deal with his agency SSG now exploring options abroad.
“There’s no agreement with SuperSport United at the moment, we’re looking at other offers now outside of the country, as he’s fit after recovering from his broken toe and ready to get back to what he does best,” a representative of his agency confirmed.
While Hunt was keen to work with the experienced talent who won the DStv Premiership, CAF Champions League and Telkom Knockout during his time at Mamelodi Sundowns, it is now likely Dolly will be outside of South Africa for the 2024/25 season.
Dolly who spent three seasons in the French top-flight with Montpellier had career-best figures at Chiefs with 67 games, 14 goals and 11 assists.
