Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed they are “in talks” with a North American club that wants to buy Cassius Mailula.
Mailula, 22, had an incredible breakthrough campaign in 2022/23, scoring 15 goals across all competitions.
His fine exploits have seen him earn call-ups to Bafana, with Downs confirming on Monday they “support Cassius Mailula’s move to North America”.
“Mamelodi Sundowns has been in discussions with a North American football club that expressed interest in acquiring the services of Cassius Mailula,” the club stated.
“Sundowns is proud of Cassius Mailula who joined the Mamelodi Sundowns Academy as a 13 year old and was developed and nurtured by the Sundowns coaches.
“Mamelodi Sundowns will make further announcements concerning Cassius Mailula in due course.”
