Former Kaizer Chiefs and Magesi FC striker Edmon Chirambadare has rejoined Chicken Inn FC in his home country.

Chirambadare, 34, left Chicken Inn in 2016 to join Amakhosi but only spent two seasons at the club, before moving on the Maccabi FC after scoring just once for Chiefs.

He also featured for Royal Kings, Bloemfontein Celtic, Steenberg United, Pretoria Callies, Venda FC before his latest move to Magesi.

At Magesi he somewhat revived his career and was part of the squad that stunned local football by winning the Carling Knockout Cup in 2024/25.

Overall, he scored six goals in 36 appearances for Dikwena tša Meetse but he was part of the players released by the club following their relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

On Wednesday, however, Chicken Inn announced the return of their prodigal son, who is affectionally called ‘Spanner’ in Zimbabwe.

“Once a Gamecock always a Gamecock. Edmore Spanner Chirambadare rejoins the Gamecocks,” the club stated.

“Welcome back home Spanner.”
