Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye says he is surprised that his former side hasn’t prioritised the one position they have a real challenge in the goal posts so far in the current transfer window.
Chiefs have been busy in the market acquiring new players as they prepare for the upcoming Betway Premiership season. Several positions have been beefed up however nothing so far in terms of goalkeepers. Chiefs had three keepers last season and they all got a chance to play but conceded 32 goals in the league amongst them as they finished in ninth position with 32 points.

Khanye says Amakhosi have a goalkeeper crisis and should be prioritising getting a proper goalkeeper and a back- up as well.
“They should be signing in the important position, a goalkeeper,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.
“A very important position, they were supposed to sign a goalkeeper. I see all the signings and Nabi is he okay having a pre-season with Kaizer Chiefs thinking his problem is wing-backs? It’s a question that’s why I’m asking.
“The goalkeeper position, the guy just overlooked that and signed wing-backs. It’s a question I’m asking myself. So it means he attacks with wing-backs? That he realised that his problem is at wing-back that he needs one at right and left but he doesn’t have a goalkeeper.
“Chiefs have signed but they still haven’t signed a goalkeeper not even a back-up because you don’t need one goalkeeper, you also need a back-up. They have a crisis in that department. They don’t have two goalkeepers. In a position that’s so important, they don’t have a goalkeeper.”
