Polokwane City head coach Willy Moloto says the arrival of goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke is a big boost for the side’s goalkeeping department.
Masuluke, 33, has been without a club after parting ways with Stellenbosch at the end of last season where he made 18 league games in four seasons.
Masuluke has been training with City for some weeks after not agreeing terms with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Real Native.
The former Baroka FC keeper made his debut for Rise and Shine in the 1-1 league draw against Kaizer Chiefs, a result that saw them back in the top eight bracket with seven points.
He started ahead of Lindokuhle Mathebula who was the first choicer for the Limpopo side last season with Moloto saying his leadership is going to be important.
“He added good value,” said Moloto.
“He helped us a lot in terms of organising the defence and he’s a player that is a leader.
“So, it’s something that we are looking at and he’s also going to push Mathebula.
“So, we want to bring balance in order to have a good competition on our team.”
