AmaZulu and Bafana Bafana midfielder Mlondi Mbanjwa has told iDiski Times that he knows nothing about rumours linking him with a move to Portugal following his national team debut last month.
This publication learnt from reliable sources that there was interest from some big clubs in Portugal in the player.
The 25-year-told winger told this publication’s writer Lethabo Kganyago in the latest edition of the newspaper that he spoke to his agent about the rumours, however is still not sure where the news came from.
“I wouldn’t say there is any truth because you know rumours are just that, rumours,” Mbanjwa told iDiski Times.
“But I recently spoke to my agent about these rumours. So I’m not really sure about it. I don’t want to lie…”
The former Polokwane City and Uthongathi man, however admits that he would like to play abroad and believes that playing under a European born coach like Pablo Franco Martin can assist him get closer to one of his dreams.
“Yes, yes, yes it can help me get closer, especially because as players we keep learning and even the coach he is helping improve our game,” he added.
“He’s not just there to coach and instruct but he helps us even individually on where to improve our game. He has played a huge role in the development of my game.”
