Gabadinho Mhango has become the latest signing of Moroka Swallows ahead of the new season.
The 31-year-old striker was one of 15 players released by AmaZulu on Friday after he wasn’t in the plans of new coach Pablo Franco Martin.
But Mhango wasn’t a free agent for long and was snatched up by Swallows, who continue an impressive squad rebuild ahead 2023/24.
He only joined Usuthu ahead of last season and made 22 appearances for the club, scoring six goals and setting up two more.
Mhango had been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs but football manager Bobby Motaung dismissed those talks last weekend.
The former Orlando Pirates striker becomes Swallows’ eighth new signing ahead of the 2023/24 season, following Andile Jali, Lantshene Phalane, Victor Bakah, Tshanini Falakhe, Keanan Phillips, Dumisani Zuma and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
