Stellenbosch FC have continued their busy transfer window and announced the signing of Surprise Nhlabathi from Baroka FC on a long-term contract, as reported by iDiski Times.
The 22-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year deal with an option to extend, adding to what appears to be a depleted defence at the club – who lost Thabo Moloisane, Henri Stanic and Athenkosi Mcaba in the off-season.
Nhlabathi is capable of playing in defence and midfield and joins as a free agent after Baroka lost their professional status – having suffered relegation from the Motsepe Foundation Championship last season.

“Stellenbosch is a team of a high calibre, and I’ve been following the Club for many years. It’s been a goal of mine to play here, and I’m happy to now have that chance.
“I’m here to fight for the badge. I will do my best in every game to help this Club win matches, compete in every competition that we play in, and ultimately achieve our goals.
