Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that Bafana Bafana striker Iqraam Rayners has joined Mamelodi Sundowns.
Rayners, 28, returns to Gauteng after a season and a half of blistering performances with Stellies after rejoining the club from SuperSport United in January 2023.

“Iqraam Rayners has joined Mamelodi Sundowns on a permanent transfer after a buy-out clause in his contract was triggered,” the club said.
“Stellenbosch Football Club has bid farewell to Iqraam Rayners after Mamelodi Sundowns triggered a buy-out clause in his contract.”
Sundowns activated Rayners’ buyout clause after being informed he was not for sale by Stellenbosch but had to move swiftly due to interest from Esperance Sportive de Tunis and USM Alger in recent weeks.
Rayners has signed a three-year deal with various options on his contract, becoming their fifth signing of the current transfer window after Kobamelo Kodisang, Arthur Sales, Kegan Johannes and Asekho Tiwani.
