Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club have continued their foray into the transfer market and announced the signing of Brazilian starlet Pedrinho just a day after the arrival of Cassius Mailula.
Mokwena has taken on the task to “awaken the sleeping giant” after Wydad finished in fifth place in the Botola Pro last season and didn’t make it out of the CAF Champions League group stages.
Despite the club still being under a transfer ban, Wydad have already made several strides in the transfer market.
On Thursday, they announced the signing of Brazilian attacking midfielder
Pedro Henrique de Assis, also known as Pedrinho.
The 20-year-old starlet joined the club from Brazilian side Corinthians and was unveiled on Thursday.
Pedrinho becomes the club’s tenth signing of this window already, following the likes of Cassius Mailula, Nabil Marmouk, Ayman Dairani, Hamza Sakhi, Zakaria Nassik, Abdelali Mhamdi, Jawad Khalouk, Mohamed Moufid and Mohamed Rayhi.
