Promising SA Talent Set For Chiefs Return

Promising South African midfielder Steven Mendes looks set to return to Kaizer Chiefs after a season in Sweden with Hammarby Fotbol.

The South Africa U17 international joined the academy set-up of the Swedish giants last year and impressed early on and seemingly adapted to life in Sweden.

However, it’s been confirmed to iDiski Times the teenager has returned to South Africa and is set to return to Chiefs, where he was one of the standout players in their youth set-up.

Mendes is likely to be joining in the club’s DStv Diski Challenge squad upon his return, who just won the title for the first time since the reserve division was formed.

He will be aiming to get back to top form with the South Africa national team qualifying for the U17 and U20 FIFA World Cup tournaments.
