Several Premier Soccer League clubs have been put on high alert by an emerging Zimbabwean talent dubbed ‘the next Khama Billiat’.
Billiat is widely considered as one of the greatest Zimbabwean talents to grace the PSL and Daniel Msendami could be the next attacking talent to arrive in South Africa.
The Jwaneng Galaxy forward has set the scene alight in the Botswana Premier League since they surprisingly landed his signature from Highlanders.
SuperSport United and Maritzburg United have both been credited with interest in the players, while a couple of Motsepe Foundation Championship sides have also been linked with moves over the past 12 months.
However, the 22-year-old is happy to bide his time until concrete offers arrive, as he signals his intention to fulfill his duties at his current club.
“I’m very happy at Jwaneng, I want to help them to win the league and get back into the CAF Champions League next season, that is my goal, that is what I’m here for,” Msendami tells iDiski Times.
“I’m here to help them get back into the Champions League and win the Botswana Premier League, and I’m very happy about working under Coach Morena [Ramoreboli].”
Ramoreboli, who played a crucial role in the rise of Thembinkosi Lorch during their time together at Maluti FET College stated to this website that he could have a similar impact as Billiat in the PSL when asked about his potential.
And the Zimbabwean talent believes working under the South African coach this season has been a major boost to his career aspirations.
“He’s helped me take my game to the next level because of the belief he’s given me, I’m very excited to be here, everything is flowing well and I’m so happy,” he added.
“If you have a coach who believes in you as a player, it makes you work harder to get better. I really need to thank Coach Morena for helping to take my game to the next level.”
Msendami has scored eight goals and registered six assists in 18 games across all competitions this season.
