SA Talent Secures Another Move In Europe

South African defender Waylon Renecke has completed a loan to Swedish second division side Orgryte IS from FC Copenhagen.

Renecke, 20, joined the Danish giants from Norwich City in September and was featuring for the FCK U19 squad. But he now moved to Sweden in a bid to find regular senior football.

The left-footed centre-back has represented both England and South Africa in various youth national teams.

Pontus Farnerud, sports director ÖIS Football, expressed his excitement about the new arrival.

“Waylon possesses qualities both on and off the field that we think fit very well into ÖIS and the squad,” he told OIS media team.

“He is very mature and ambitious for his age and it will be interesting to see his development in our environment.

“We have had a good dialogue with FCK and found a structure that is beneficial to all parties.”
