Sekhukhune Start Squad Revamp For CAFCC Challenge

Sekhukhune United are planning ahead for a major squad revamp as they look to be more competitive in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

After falling at the group stages in 2023/24, they will return to the competition next season with renewed vigour under new leadership, with a new coach set to be appointed this week.

The club have already secured the likes of Njabulo Ngcobo, Keletso Makgalwa and Andy Boyeli for the upcoming season whilst a host of players will be departing.

It comes as no surprise with several of the exits on the periphery of the first-team squad, with Edwin Gyimah and Zaphaniah Mbokoma on the list but already departed earlier this season.

This publication understands Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Lebohang Mabotja, Ntokozo Mtsweni, Thamsanqa Masiya, Miguel Dias, Rally Bwalya, Maloisane Mokhele, Collins Makgaka, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Tashreeq Morris and Michael Sarpong are others on their way out.

Tlotliso Phatsisi and Lesego Sebetlela who spent last season on loan at Black Leopards and Magesi, respectively, will also part ways with the club when the window opens on 1 July.

Babina Noko are expected to sign several new players but maintain a manageable squad size for the 2024/25 season.
