TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi has cleared the air regarding upcoming star player Seluleko Mahlambi’s future after the player has been linked with Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mahlambi made his first team senior debut last season after playing for Cape Town City’s reserve side a season before.

The 21-year old was the pillar of the Galaxy team, scoring seven goals and contributing with five assists.

His performances caught eyes of the football supporters within the country and rumors started to come out, stating that the speedy winger is being wanted by the big three, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

During the pre-season prayer and unveiling of new players, The Rockets’ chairman made it clear that that no club contacted them regarding Mahlambi also emphasised the importance of continuing getting new talent.

“No plans to sell him, I’ve read that some clubs are interested in him, and it all excited their supporters,” he stated.

“But I can tell them now, there’s not a single club that has spoken to us about Mahlambi. So he is staying put.

“He was good last season. We hope he can just continue and do better than he did last year.”

“We have the extraordinary ability to dispose of our best talent and still reinforce our project, but we’re doing that with caution. You know, this league is very tough.

“As we develop these players, as they become stronger in the league, we will probably at some stage or another, become compelled to retain them.”
