Bayern & Man Utd Starting XIs Announce

Bayern Munich and Manchester United have announced their starting XIs for tonight’s UEFA Champions League clash.

The two teams have nine European Cups between, with Bayern lifting the trophy six times and most recently in 2022, while United have won it thrice, and their last in 2008.

Many will remember United’s second UCL trophy when they beat Bayern in most dramatic fashion after scoring two goals in injury-time to break the Bavarians’ hearts.

Overall, the two teams have met 11 times, with Bayern winning four and United just two, while five games ended in a draw. The German giants are unbeaten against United in their previous homes games, picking up three wins and two draws.

Bayern have featured in the Champions League group stage in every season since 2008/09, reaching the knockout rounds in each one of those campaigns, and they had a 100% during last season’s group stages.

The hosts enter the game unbeaten in 2023/24, but did drop their first points against Bayer Leverkusen last week Friday. New signing Harry Kane has scored four goals in his first five games for the club.

Meanwhile, United are somewhat struggling on and off the pitch, having lost three of their five Premier League games this season already, and have suffered back-to-back 3-1 defeat to Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion.

The match will be shown live on SuperSport channel 3, as well as on the DStv Stream app, while SS1 will show the goals and highlights of all Champions League games of the night.

Here is how they line up:

Bayern XI: Ulreich, Laimer, Upamecano, Kim, Davies, Kimmich, Goretzka, Sané, Musiala, Gnabry, Kane

Subs: Peretz, de Ligt, Coman, Choupo-Moting, Sarr, Muller, Tel, Mazraoui, Schmitt, Kraetzig
