Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the signing of Surprise Ralani from Cape Town City on a 18-month contract.
The 34-year-old has been one of the star performers in the DStv Premiership since joining City after more than a decade in Europe and was available to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choice this month.
However, City have cashed in to allow Ralani to join Sundowns in the upcoming transfer window as he joins Kermit Erasmus to also make the switch over from Cape Town to Chloorkop.
Ralani departs City with 16 goals and 27 assists in 118 games over the past four seasons while he represented Landskrona, IFK Hässleholm, Helsingborg and Lyngby BK prior to his move to the Premier Soccer League
His one and a half year deal also see Masandawana have an option to extend it by a further season, should both parties agree.
Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena hinted about his arrival earlier this month before the mid-season break stating the player would be ‘an important player’ for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.
