With Pitso Mosimane finding himself once again in a contract stalemate with Al Ahly, the South African has been hailed as the best coach on the continent.
Former Ghana international centre-forward Felix Aboagye has lauded the Al Ahly coach’s progress in Africa.
Mosimane was appointed head coach of the Club of the Century in September 2020 and has since rewritten the clubs history books, lifting back-to-back CAF Champions League titles.
Aboagye, says the South African-born coach is currently the best tactician on the continent and labeled Mosimane’s team as an organized side.
“Al-Ahly and Zamalek are the best in Africa, and it is natural for them to shine in the Champions League,” Aboagye said, as per GhanaSoccernet.
“Al Ahly is an organized team and all their players are performing well, and Mosimane is the best coach in Africa at the moment.”
The Red Devils are currently sitting at the summit of the Egyptian Premier League table, with 19 points after seven games.
However, Al Ahly drew their last three games in the newly-formed Egyptian League Cup with a make-shift squad due to many first-team players being at the African Cup of Nations, while others were ruled out with Covid-19.
Mosimane, meanwhile, finds himself locked in contract talks with his club and has pleaded with Al Ahly’s leadership to come to terms before the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which starts on 3 February.
