Kaizer Chiefs interim coach Arthur Zwane was full of praise for Njabulo Ngcobo, saying he deserved the Man of the Match award in their 2-2 draw against Swallows on Saturday.
Ngcobo opened the scoring for Chiefs in their final DStv Premiership match of the season, in what was his first game back in the line-up after his substitution and subsequent outburst against Golden Arrows.
The defender scored against his former club but was even more tested at the back after Amakhosi went down to 10 men.
His coach later stated that Ngcobo was Chiefs best player on the pitch, despite him not being happy with the team’s overall display.
“But if there’s a player that played well today, it is Njabulo Ngcobo,” Zwane said in the post match presser.
“He played very well, you know, I thought he was gonna get Man of the Match.
“I think he did a lot of hard work and the balls that were coming from the side that he blocked, that were dangerous, and even when we were building up he also played a part.”
