Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered a mouth-watering seven-year deal that could see him earn more than €1.5 billion.
The 37-year-old is set to become the highest-paid athlete once more, with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr confident of securing his services, according to Marca.
Al Nassr are understood to have Ronaldo a seven-year deal, which would be split into two parts. He’d spend the first two-and-a-half years as player before he becomes an ambassador of the joint-World Cup bid of Saudi Arabia, Greece and Egypt.
During his time as player he’d earn €170 million per year, with the report stating that that amount would even be more once he hangs up his boots – which would be around €1.5 billion (R27 billion) over the seven years.
Ronaldo is a free agent after agreeing to mutually terminate his Manchester United contract and could sign with any team he wishes.
However, there seems to be no interest in Europe in his services, with Al Nassr understood to be confident they can push the deal until 2030 over the line.
