Swallows head coach Dylan Kerr was furious after his team were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Royal AM on Friday evening.
Swallows lost 1-0 to Royal AM at Dobsonville Stadium, as the visitors scored a late goal to end Swallows’ cup run.
Kerr, who was the winning coach of the tournament last season after leading TTM (now known as Marumo Gallants) to the trophy.
But the English coach was furious after game after watching his team fail to use their dominance in the match.
“Can I swear? I’m pissed off,” Kerr told SuperSport.
“Pissed off with them in the dressing room. I’m fed up with doing my job with these players week in, week out, day in, day out, and we’ve battered them down in Durban, we’ve battered them today and we’ve not scored a goal.
“It’s becoming now a habit. Is it my coaching? Is it my interpretation of crossing and finishing and playing the final pass, and playing the final cross and hitting the target?
“I mean, it’s suicide, I mean, we’re killing ourselves. We’re out the cup now, we’ve got eight games in the league, we’ve got eight cup finals now, but we can’t continue doing this.
“Even with the subs we bring on, we get chances, and it’s the wrong decisions.
You’ve seen it again yourself, the viewers who watched Swallows last week, we just can’t score, we just made the wrong decisions in the right areas in order to score goals, they’ve had one shot and scored a goal.”
