Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi praised Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos for selecting players based on their performance not based on club results.
The Buccaneers mentor expressed his gratitude after coach Hugo Broos named his squad that will face France at month end of March.
Three Orlando Pirates players Goodman Mosele, Thabang Monare and Bandile Shandu were also named within the squad.
“We really proud as a team. It just shows you that for the national team coach who’s got a very good eye in seeing good players – Mandla Ncikazi told the media.
“They look at the game that we play I think our model of the game. We playing a good game if you take away the results and draws that we have played and look at our game, put the results and get the results to get three wins from the three draws and look at how we play.
“I think we are one of the teams that play the correct game maybe the coach is not looking at the results like everybody.
“He’s looking at the quality of players in their positions and one must give praise to the coach for doing that, I thought the players that he selected are good players and they are doing well credit to the coach for doing that.”
Orlando Pirates will face JS Saoura of Algeria away from hope with the hope of securing a knockout stage qualification on Sunday evening.
