Pirates Next Exit Revealed?

Orlando Pirates defender Thabiso Sesane could become the next Buccaneer to join Chippa United.

The 23-year-old came through Pirates youth ranks and was identified as a promising defender when he got promoted in December 2020.

But he has since made just seven appearances for the Sea Robbers and was loaned out twice.

In the beginning of 2021/22 season he was sent out to Jomo Cosmos, who were playing in the National First Division at the time.

When his loan spell expired, he joined Buccaneers on pre-season ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, with hope of remaining to the club.

But due to the strong competition in his position, he was again loaned out, this time to Motsepe Foundation Championship All Stars FC under the guidance of technocrat Sinethemba Badela.

He made an impressive 29 appearances for All Stars, helping them to finish in fourth place, before their status was sold to Black Leopards.

It has reached this publication that Sesane’s performances haven’t gone unnoticed and a new loan to Chippa United is on the cards for the young defender, as he didn’t travel to Spain with the rest of Pirates squad.

The Chilli Boys have already brought in Craig Martin from Pirates, while they also signed former Bucs stars Luvuyo Memela and Augustine Mulenga, as well as Sesane’s All Stars teammate from last season, Menzi Ndwandwe.
