The PSL have announced that Mamelodi Sundowns will host Kaizer Chiefs at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The match scheduled for 9 August was originally scheduled for Sundowns’ traditional home ground at Loftus Versfeld but had to be moved.
Head coach Rulani Mokwena had confirmed on Radio2000 that the pitch at Loftus Versfeld is being renewed but work is taking longer, creating a “short-term dilemma”.
The first fixture affected is their home clash with Chiefs next week Wednesday.

Sundowns had also attempted to host some of their home games at FNB Stadium but couldn’t due to contractual agreements with Stadium Management SA and Amakhosi.
Other venues like New Peter Mokhaba Stadium and Mbombela Stadium were ruled out because Downs wanted to stay close to their fans.
“Sundowns is a team from Pretoria, which respects and appreciates our fans, and we value their presence at the games,” he said on Radio2000.
“So we will try to prioritize playing our home games at Lucas Moripe.”
