Mamelodi Sundowns will miss the services of Khuliso Mudau and Mothobi Mvala in their MTN8 semi-final second leg against Kaizer Chiefs, while Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi is suspended for the Buccaneers’ clash with Stellenbosch FC.
Over the weekend, the two finalists for this year’s MTN8 will be confirmed, as Sundowns host Chiefs, while the Sea Robbers welcome Stellies.
Masandawana welcome Chiefs to Lucas Masterpiece Moripe Stadium, carrying a slender advantage by virtue of the away goal from the 1-1 draw in the first leg, when Mudau netted the late equaliser in injury-time.
However, Rulani Mokwena will have to make due without Mudau this time around after he picked up a fourth yellow card and he wasn’t the only Sundowns star to do so, with Mvala ruled out for the same reason.
Meanwhile, Ncikazi was sent off in his side’s 1-0 league defeat to Sundowns on Wednesday after clashing with the fourth official in the first half.
On the other side, Stellenbosch will miss Olivier Toure after received a red card in the 2-0 defeat to Moroka Swallows on Tuesday.
Stellies will have to overcome a 2-1 first-leg home defeat in order to qualify for their first-ever cup final, while Pirates have one foot in the final, as they attempt to defend their title.
