Simba Banned By FIFA

CAF Champions League side Simba SC have been banned from making transfers by FIFA over issues with Senegalese club Teungueth FC.

The news were announced by the Tanzanian Football Federation on Thursday, after Simba failed to pay parts of their transfer fees for Pape Sakho.

The Tanzanian giants bought Sakho from Teungueth FC but failed to honour a 45-day deadline given by FIFA to make an outstanding payment.

Sakho had joined Simba in August 2021 but left the club in July to join French Ligue 2 side QRM.

As a consequence of the ban, Simba cannot make any new signings until this matter is resolved.

Simba start their CAF Champions League campaign against ASEC Mimosas this weekend, and will also face Morena Ramoreboli’s Jwaneng Galaxy as well as Wydad Athletic Club in Group B.
