Namibia playmaker Prins Tjiueza has addressed links with a potential move to the DStv Premiership amid his impressive performances at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Tjiueza, 21, was linked with a transfer to Mamelodi Sundowns last season but no official move was made for the talented number 10.
He’s since helped KF Liria to promotion to the Kosovo top-flight, where he’s now scored four goals with one assist in his first 13 games this season.
And that form has continued with the national team as he showed flashes of his immense potential, playing behind captain Peter Shalulile as the youngest player in the starting line-up.
“That’s a tough question… as for the PSL, you never know, it depends on the kind of offers I might receive [after AFCON],” he told iDiski Times.
“There’s been contacts with my agent – but that’s… right now I’m just concentrating on the tournament for the country.”
The diminutive talent who is likely to start on Wednesday evening in their final Group E game against Mali is confident they can provide another shock at the competition after the Brave Warriors stunned Tunisia with a 1-0 win to open their campaign.
“I think it’s possible yes [to qualify to the last-16], especially with our goal being getting past the group stage, I think anything is possible,” he said confidently despite the 4-0 defeat to Bafana Bafana on Sunday.
“They [Mali] are beatable, any team is beatable, we’re hungry so I think we can do it.”
The Brave Warriors take on the West Africans at Le Stade Laurent Poko on Wednesday at 19h00.
