AmaTuks head coach Tlisane Motaung has confirmed they will be without two Mamelodi Sundowns loanees ahead of their Nedbank Cup quarter-final.
The Motsepe Foundation title-chasers face the the DStv Premiership league leaders on Friday evening for a place in the Last-4.
As the last second-tier side in the competition, it’s the David and Goliath showdown of the round and the tall order has been made even steeper without their two key attackers.
Thabang Sibanyoni, who has been in fine form of late, and Promise Mkhuma are both ineligible to face their parent club based on the loan agreement.
“It’s big, of course, looking at how he he’s been doing for us. He has been very critical for us in terms of where we are now on the league,” Motaung told journalists.
“We would have loved to have him. But the reality is, we know about the loan agreement, and that agreement was there before we could even have him at our training session.
“So we not going to really focus on that deal and worry ourselves. I see it as a platform to give other players an opportunity really to demonstrate what they’re capable of.
“Yes, Siba would have played a great role for us, I would have loved to have him in this particular match. Unfortunately, due to of course contractual agreements, we’re not going to have him – not only him Promise Mkhuma also participate in this particular match.
“And we respect that because it’s something that we knew when we brought him to the club.”
The Tshwane derby will take place at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on Friday at 19h00.
