Chippa United have secured the signature of rising midfield talent Lebohang Tshabalala from Northern Cape Professionals ahead of the new season.
The 22-year-old was one of the standout players in the recent ABC Motsepe League Playoffs and attracted plenty of admirers going into the new campaign.
However, Chippa moved swiftly to lure the talented left footed playmaker to the club under new head coach Brandon Truter, who is said to have been left with a real impression.
iDiski Times understands a two-year deal has been signed, with the Chilli Boyz continuing their trend of offering a platform to players from the amateur ranks, which has been a source of success.
Chippa have been active in the market with the signings of Goodman Mosele from Orlando Pirates, becoming their new club captain, the return to Stanley Nwabali, while Imraan Jones was brought in from Highbury FC and Muzomuhle Khanyi on loan from Stellenbosch.
The club has also announced the arrivals of Obakhe Chaya, Nthuthuko Mlotshwa, Muhammad Carrim, Imraan Jones, Daba Diakite and Tshepang Makara.
