AmaZulu star Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has been named in the Zimbabwe provisional squad to face Sierra Leone and DR Congo in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ngwenya has been in supreme form to start the 2026/27 season, netting eight goals in six games for Usuthu who are currently fourth in the Betway Premiership.
He’s joined by four other South African based players, Elvis Chipezeze (Magesi), Divine Lunga (Mamelodi Sundowns), Junior Zindoga (TS Galaxy) and Daniel Msendami at Orlando Pirates.
It’s set to be new head coach Ramon Catala’s first game in charge of the Warriors – who will be aiming for back-to-back AFCON qualifications after the return from international football exile.
